New Interface Launched with CNS Compass

Fargo Systems Launches New Interface with CNS Compass
Specialist software firm, Fargo Systems, has collaborated with DP World to develop a seamless interface for the ports of Southampton, Tilbury and the forthcoming London Gateway.

Having established a close working relationship with marine terminal operator, DP World, on a number of forthcoming projects, Fargo Systems Ltd has developed an Export Booking Interface for the CNS Compass Port Community System.

The new CNS (Community Network Services) Compass link from TOPS, together with a well established interface with MCP’s Destin8 Port Community System (for Import Releasing and Export Bookings), means Fargo System’s customers can now seamlessly communicate with both major Port Community Systems from inside TOPS, without the need to re-key data.

Fargo Systems recognises the significance of Port Community Systems to the efficient flow of cargo and data, Colin Potter, Fargo Systems General Manager, comments: “We will strive to provide integrated communication at every opportunity, playing our part in the Port Community.”

Gary Gordon, Deputy Transport Manager at Multimodal Logistics Ltd / China Shipping, whose joint service vessels dock at the port of Southampton, said: “Since Fargo Systems developed the CNS interface it has saved us significant time and made the process of booking exports onto the port system very efficient.”
