We are always being asked to develop bespoke solutions for customers and we firmly believe that the IT systems should fit the business and not vice-versa. 'Off the shelf' is not always a good fit. In the past we have developed a number of solutions ranging from quite sophisticated customer relationship management systems to complex financial modelling excel spreadsheets.
That said, the Fargo Systems development team focus predominantly on their flagship product "TOPS". During this process, we often find it useful to create our own reuseable controls or dynamic link libraries to fill a gap in the marketplace. Due to
their reusability, these software components are also available to purchase
either individually or as a suite. Written predominantly in Visual Basic,
they address a number of requirements for reusable, scalable, objects or functions,
and as DLL's can be used in any Windows development environment.
Our current list of components includes:
- A Date Picker (with extended functionality over the standard Microsoft version)
- A Time Picker
- An Email component for accessing a a MAPI or Microsoft Outlook profile
- A Postcode Lookup component (works with the GB Royal Mail PAF file)
- A Security component that will work with any VB and SQLserver 2000 client/server solution
- Number, String and Translation functions, etc.
- ISO Container Number checksum function
